Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 22nd July - Saturday 25th July 2020
Wednesday 22nd July, Single Stableford and 2B Aggregate. Singles winner was Greg Nankervis (14) with 38 points, Greg is getting close to breaking into A-Grade with his continuing good form! In the 2B it was a Nankervis sweep, with Greg combining with his father Greg (snr) to win with 72 points. Singles runner-up was the consistent Joe Landsberg (11) with 37 points. Nearest the pins went to Ross Delaney on the 5th and Myung Ihm on the 17th and balls went to 32 points.
Thursday 23rd July, Ladies Midweek Stableford sponsored by Jean Simpson. The Ladies enjoyed another beautiful winter day and Marilyn Rowe (40) had a great round, scoring 42 points over Young Do (39) with an impressive 39 points. Nearest the pins went to; 5th, Jean Simpson, Vegie Patch 13th, Marilyn Rowe, 17th, Dorelle Pinch and Louise Stevenson won the Pro Pin on hole 7. There were 24 starters and balls went to 30 points.
Saturday 25th July, Club Foursomes Championships and Medley Single Stableford. The rain held off long enough for Johnathon Van-Veen and Paul Cinat to win the Men’s Foursomes with 74 off the stick, Al Campbell and Nat Foster combined for runners-up with 78. Nett winners were Martin Green and Mike Gregg with an incredible 65, which is an amazing effort in this format! Greg Nankervis (snr) and Victor Kanjjan teamed up for a 72 to come in runners-up.
Louise Stevenson and Carrie Soady are the 2020 Ladies Foursomes Champions after carding 90 off the stick, coming in a close second with 93 were the formidable pairing of Margaret Booth and Lynne Pressley. The nett prize was won by Rebecca Brown and Marilyn Rowe with an impressive 68.5 over Maree Griffiths and Cindy Fitzgerald with 72. The Stableford was won by Geoff Cope with 39 points over John Nankervis on count back. Next Saturday is forecast to be good weather so get your tee time organised for the Monthly Medal and support our great club!
