Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 19th December - Saturday 22nd December
BLACKHEATH MEN…Wednesday 19th December was our usual Single and 2 Ball Better Ball stableford competition held in foggy and damp conditions. The winner of the Single Stableford was Leura visitor, Stephen Delprado (12) with a creditable 44 points picking up a $40 voucher ahead of local evergreen, Ian Evans (7) with 43 points picking up a $20 voucher. The 2 Ball went to Peter Torak (30) and Matt Windsor (21) with 49 points winning a $35 voucher each. Nearest the pin on the 5th went to Murray Mehrtens celebrating his 87th birthday in style at 441 cms and on the 17th to John Bromhead at 218 cms. Balls went to 35 points. Remember to have a crack at the Mountain’s best midweek call Darrin on 47875643.
SATURDAY 22nd December was a Medley 4 Person Ambrose sponsored by BGCC.The winners were Al Campbell, Ossie Antaw, Rebecca Brown and Roz Starkey finishing with 52.6 nett. The winners of Scratch were Michael Mole, Michael Shelton, Darrell Gawthorpe and Darrin Walden with a fine 59 off the stick. Nearest the pin on the Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters and Cabinet Making sponsored 2nd Hole went to club Pro, Darrin Walden at 21 cms, on the Silly Milly Kids Clothing sponsored 7th Hole to Rob Dempsey at 184 cms, on the Blue Mountains escapes sponsored 13th Hole to Stuart Brown at 445 cms, on the Scully Legal sponsored 14th Hole to Andrew Lawson at 162 cms and on the Ben Cameron 17th Hole to Paul Cinat also picking up the propin at 51 cms. Balls went to 55.9 nett.
FRIDAY 21st December was the final round of the NEW 9 Hole Championship which is played as a Single Stableford over three 9 hole rounds with the ability to drop the worst round. This weeks winner was Steve Caswell (16) with 23 points ahead of Mick Lonergan (16) with 21 points. The overall Championship winner was Warren Westcott(22) with 42 points from Mick Lonergan (16) with 41 points. The nine hole Friday stableford competition will continue until the winter months.
BLACKHEATH LADIES…Thursday 20th December was the first round of the Blackheath Ladies Summer Competition which is a Single stableford Aggregate best of 3 rounds played. The winner was Mandy McAlister (29) with 35 points.
