Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 15th May - Saturday 18th May 2019
Wednesday 15th May was our Weekly 2BBB and Single Stableford, Graham Phillips (13) won the Singles with 41 points beating home Gordon Stovold (19) with 39. The 2BBB was won by Stuart Brown (11) and Larry Manning (17) with 47 points over Greg McDonald (19) and John Wilson (27) with 46. Nearest the Pins went to Shane Murphy @ 118cm on the 5th and Peter Messer @ 194cm on 17. Balls to 34 on countback.
Saturday 18th May we held a 2B Aggregate Stableford and Singles with generous sponsorship by long time members, Graham Jones and Peter White with visitors from Campbelltown and Antill Park. The Singles winner was Geoff Hilder (23) with a great score of 43 points followed in by Barry Simpson (12) with 42 on countback. The 2B was taken out by our PGA Trainee, Jack Walden (0) and Darrell Gawthorpe (12) with 76 points, Runners-up going to Ian Evans (4) and David Birrell (18) with 75 on c/b. Best Scratch score was Jack Walden who tore up the course with a 63 but the prize went to Ian Evans, defying his years with a 72! Balls went to 36 on countback. Nearest the pins were as follows, 2nd (Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters and Cabinetmaking), David Pope @ 269cm, 5th (Leading Edge Computers, Katoomba), Jack Walden @ 350cm but giving it to Tony Darlow @ 368cm, 7th (SiLLY MiLLY Kids Clothing), Paul Rowe @ 70cm, 13th (Blue Mountains Escapes), Neil Smith @ 160 cm, 14th (Scully Legal), Beau Flaherty @ 258cm on 17 (Ben Cameron) it was Mick Hillier @ 120cm also taking home the Pro Pin of $233. Congratulations to our prize winners.
Saturday 18th May, Single Stableford sponsored by Lynne Pressley, Winner on the day was Carrie Soady (27) with a great round of 40 points with sponsor Lynne (21), runner-up with 37. Carrie topped off a good day by winning the Ladies Pro Pin @188cm.
