Blackheath Golf Results Wednesday 11th September - Saturday 14th September 2019
Wednesday 11th September, Midweek Single Stableford and 2BBB. Singles winner was John Bromhead (5) with 42 points over Don Griffiths (23) on 40, in the 2B it was Larry Manning (16) and Don Griffiths taking the prize with 48 points, runners-up were Michael Mole (12) and Paul Rowe (16) with 47. Nearest the Pin on the 5th went to Larry Manning @ 68cm and on the 17th to Murray Mehrtens @ 386cm, balls to 36 on count back.
Saturday 14th September, 2B Aggregate Stableford and Singles sponsored by Tara Dowdell (Thermomix). Winners in the 2B were Tina Vanzyl (29) and Dennis Day (4) with 77 points on countback. John Wilson (26) scored an impressive 45 points to take the Singles prize. Ian Evans (4) had the best scratch score (again!) with 73. Nearest the Pins were as follows, 2nd (Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters and Cabinetmaking),Russel Isaac @ 41 cm, 5th (Leading Edge Computers, Katoomba), Michael Hillier @ 278 cm, Robin James @70 cm, 7th (SiLLY MiLLY Kids Clothing), Paul Cinat @ 137 cm, 13th (Roger and Etsuko Saxton), Peter Kailofer @ 249 cm, 14th (Scully Legal), Nat Foster @ 217 cm, 17th (Ben Cameron), Darrell Gawthorpe @ 56 cm which also won the Pro Pin. Balls went to 37 points. We welcomed visitors from Royal Sydney, Killara, Kogarah, Cromer, Stonecutters Ridge, Pennant Hills, Gordon, Elanora, NSW and Woolooware.
Sunday 15th September, Ray White Blackheath Open, Open Champion was Toukley visitor Scott Walker (2) with 69, well played and congratulations! A Grade nett winner was Max McCann (11 Lithgow) with 67 on c/b, B Grade scratch was won by Scott Aarts (15 Penrith) with 87 and nett went to Matt Windsor (21) with 68. Junior winner was Lachlan Cullen (10 Wentworth Falls) with 73. Steve Lister, Matt Windsor and Dennis Day combined to win the Teams Event. Nearest the Pins, 2nd John McCann @ 277 cm, 5th Colin Stockley @ 334 cm, 7th Matt Windsor @ 350 cm, 13th Don Wolfenden @180 cm, 14th Brett Scanlan @ 19 cm and 17th Don Wolfenden @ 183 cm, Long Drive winner was Barrie England. Many thanks to Ray White, Blackheath for their generous support and on a beautiful spring day, we welcomed visitors from Toukley, Penrith, Wallacia, Lithgow, Royal Sydney, Wentworth Falls, Leura, Cabramatta, Moorina, Oberon and Cromer.
Thursday 12th September, Single Stableford sponsored by Roz Starkey, Winner was Sandra Draper (28) with 41 points over Marilyn Rowe (37) with 37. Nearest the Pin on 7 (G & P Loneragan) went to Etsuko Saxton and on 13 to Trish Honeysett, Vegie Patch Hole 13, Yvonne Murray.
Saturday 14th September, Single Stableford sponsored by Linda Foulsham, Chris Rhind (27) took the trophy with an impressive 40 points over Yvonne Murray (25) with 36, balls to 28 points.
