Blackheath Golf Results - Wednesday 10th March to Saturday 13th March 2021

Blackheath Men…Wednesday 10th March was Midweek time again at the Mountains Top golf course. The winner of the Single Stableford was Jim Walsh (15) with a fine 41 points ahead of Ross Delaney (15) with an equally fine 40 points. The 2BBB went to Jim Walsh (15) and Dave Birrell (23) with 46 points. Nearest the pin on the 5th went to Trevor Thomas at 71 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th to Mark “shaky” Allen at 349 cms. Balls went to 34 Points on a countback. Come along and have a hit by calling Darrin on 47875643 and don’t forget for the big hitters we have Tiger Tees Day on the last Wednesday of each month with some great prizes on offer.

Saturday 13th March was a Single Stableford and 2BBB sponsored by Jim Walsh and Geoff Hilder.the winner of the Single Stableford was Ian Griffiths (9) with 40 points ahead of Kevin Pidgeon (14) with 39 points. The 2BBB went to David Cunneen (25) and Stephen Caswell (11) with 48 points ahead of Ian Griffiths (9) and Mark Allen(8) with 47 points.Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd went to Ian Fitzgerald at 367 cms, on the Leading Edge Computer sponsored 5th to Kevin Tooke at 455 cms, on the Monocure 3D sponsored 7th to Christo Macartney at 100 cms, on the Victor Kanjian sponsored 13th to Mark Allen at 131 cms, the Ken Scully sponsored 14th failed to go off and on the Ben Cameron OneFiveFive sponsored 17th to James Hall at 240 cms. Balls went to 34 points on a countback.Both the mens and ladies Propins failed to go off and jackpots to next week. Next Saturday the men play an Irish team Stableford with a Single Stableford in conjunction sponsored by Roger Pierce,Carlos Donoso and Stephen Caswell.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 11th March was a Single Stableford sponsored by Kerry Wynne. The winner was Sandra Draper (31) with 39 points ahead of Camilla Brown (39) with 33 points on a countback.Nearest the pin on the Loneragan Family sponsored 2nd went to Kerry Wynne, on the 5th to Sunny Ihm and on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th to Sandra Draper. Balls went to 29 points on a countback. Next Thursday the ladies play a 2 Person Ambrose sponsored by Judith Fitzhenry and Joan Sutton.

Saturday 13th March was Rd 2 of the 2021 Ladies Club Championships. The winner of today’s event was Margaret Booth (14) with 65 nett ahead of Cindy Fitzgerald (16) with 66 nett. Nearest the pin on the Loneragan Family sponsored 5th went to Cindy Fitzgerald, on the 13th to Maree Griffiths and on the New Age Kitchens sponsored 17th to Rhonda Lonergan. Balls went to 72 nett. The overall scratch leader after 2 rounds is Louise Stevenson with 154 ahead of Margaret booth with 167. Next Saturday is Rd3 and the final round of the Championships for 2021.
