Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 9th Oct to Sat 12th Oct
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 9th October was our normal Midweek Medley single Stableford and 2 Ball at the Mountains TOP course. The winner of the Single event was Steve Tolhurst (9) with 39 points on a countback from Shane Murphy (3) also on 39 points while the 2 Ball went to Glenn Mills (23) and Paul Rowe (18) with 44 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Shane Murphy at 125 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Cormac Miller at 104 cms. Balls went to 37 points. Remember if you’d like to join in each and every Wednesday just call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2. Saturday 12th October…was a Single Stableford with a Team best 2 out of 4 scores event in conjunction. The winner of the single event was Ted Griffin (15) with 37 points on a countback ahead of Todd Cleary (14) also on 37 points. The Team event winners were Margaret Booth, Robyn Mason, Margot Mason and Carolyn Patman with 88 points ahead of Chris Quilter, Matthew Quilter, Michael Quilter and Ian Foulsham on 87 points.Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Derek Wood at 139 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Robyn Mason at 270 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Josh Thomas at 62 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Archer Norman at 220 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Andrew Swan at 320 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Matt Quilter at 201 cms with balls going to 32 points on a countback. Next Saturday the Men play the 100 year Celebration Tournament followed by a Dinner Dance with entertainment by Bonnie Doon so join us for the golf by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and for the evening call Liz on the same number.
Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 10th October was a Single Stableford sponsored by Lyn Siebels. The winner was Karen Tolhurst (33) with 38 points ahead of di Pease (27) with 35 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Anne Morris, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Carrie Soady and on the 17th hole to Karen Tolhurst. Balls went to 29 points. This week the Ladies play their Annual Blackheath Ladies Classic on Wednesday and Thursday and on Saturday play a Canadian Foursomes sponsored by Al Campbell. Visitors are always welcome to play in any of our many weekly events at the Mountains TOP course.
Friday 11th October…the 6 hole Proshop Challenge was a family affair with Marilyn Rowe winning the Ladies and hubby Paul Rowe victorious in the Men’s event. Come along each Friday arvo after 3.00pm and play the quick 6 hole challenge sponsored by the Proshop and stay for Dinner, Raffles and the Members Draw.
