Blackheath Men…Wednesday 9th April was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 Ball sponsored by Darrins Proshop. The winner of the single event was Blake Ranse (7) with 36 points ahead of Shane Murphy (3) with 35  points on a countback.The 2 Ball went to Steve Tolhurst (10) and Andy Lavis (22) with 47 points.  Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Jim O’Keeffe at 30 cms…great shot Jim and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Stuart Brown at 380 cms and balls went to 35 points. Saturday 12th April…was a 2 Person Ambrose and a qualifying event for the Keno Go Lets Play Mens Ambrose. The winners were Russell Curtis and Jim Ballard playing off 3 and finishing with 59 nett ahead of Greg McDonald and Brett Nightingale playing off 6.5 and finishing with 59.5 nett.Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Corey Oldfield at 180 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Brett Nightingale at 236 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Jim O’Keeffe at 210 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Jim Ballard at 163 cms on the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole to Greg McDonald at 119 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Andrew Lawson at 70 cms also picking up the Propin..great Shot Andrew. Next Saturday the Men play a Single Stableford sponsored by Richard Morrison and it’s not too late to join us on Monday and watch the final round of the US Masters on the big screen followed by a wonderful Spikes Bistro Breakfast on the Balcony and then a 18 hole competition to win your very own Green Jacket. It’s all happening at Blackheath Golf and Community Club this month and don’t forget to join in the Medley Anzac Day 4 Person Ambrose and stay for the Dusk Ceremony later in the afternoon.Visitors are always welcome to join in the many weekly events at the Mountains TOP course by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 10th April was Rd 2 and the concluding round of the 2025 Ladies Foursomes Championships. The winners and 2025 Champions are Rebecca Brown and Louise Stevenson with a Scratch score of 191 ahead of Di Pease and Lynne Pressley with a Scratch score of 209. The Handicap winners are Sarah Gardner and Chris Rhind with 155 nett ahead of Lynn Siebels and Anne Morris with 156 nett. Balls in Rd 2 went to 78.5 nett next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Suzie Tonkin.

Saturday 12th April…the Ladies played a Single Stableford sponsored by Mandy McAlister. The winner was Rebecca Brown (23) with a fine 38 points ahead of Carla Gilderdale (40) with 36 points. Nearest the pin on the 2nd hole went to Carla Gilderdale, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Rhonda Lonergan and on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 17th hole to Louise Aaron. Balls went to 31 points . Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Liz Campbell and don’t forget the Huie Cup sponsored by Ian Foulsham and Rodney Tubbs on Easter Monday.
