Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 6th August to Sat 9th August

Wednesday 6th August…was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by Darrins Proshop. The winner of the Single Stableford was Brock Dewar (28) with 41 points while the 2 Ball went to Wednesday regulars…Ian Hehir (20) and Cormac Miller (18) with an impressive 48 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Karl Munchow at 590 cms and Karl also picked up the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17thhole at 290 cms. Balls went to 34 points on a countback. If you’d like to join in the fun at the Mountains TOP course in the Mountain’s Premier Midweek simply call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Saturday 9th August…due to the inclement weather the Winter Cup was postponed to a date to be confirmed and we had a Single Stableford and 2BBB. The winner of the single event was Jim O’Keeffe (6) with 37 points while the 2 Ball went to Michael Ashford (16) and Luke Horgan (12) with 41 points.Nearest the pin on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole went to Corey Oldfield at 520 cms and as a matter of fact Corey picked up the James Dakin sponsored 7thhole at 803 cms and the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole at 319 cms. Balls went to 33 points. Next Saturday the Men’s programmed event is a Single stableford and 2BBB sponsored by Stephen Tolhurst but could change due to postponed events caused by unforeseen weather events.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 7th August was the Ladies Keno Lets Play Ambrose sponsored by Yvonne Murray and Liz Campbell. The winner were Sarah Gardner and Rebecca Brown playing off 10.5 and finishing with 72.5 nett ahead of Karen Tolhurst and Mandy McAlister playing off 15.2 and finishing with 75.8 . Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Mandy McAlister along with the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole and Jean Simpson picked up the Womens golf Blackheath sponsored 17th hole. Balls went to 77 nett. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Canadian Foursomes sponsored by Jenny O’Baugh and Maree Griffiths followed by the Ladies AGM and on Saturday play a Single Stableford sponsored by Marilyn Rowe. Remember visitors are always welcome at the Mountains TOP course and to book simply call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.
