Blackheath Men…Wednesday 5^th February was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 Ball and Round 1 of the Midweek Stableford Championships sponsored by Darrins Proshop.The winner of the single event was John Nankervis (13) with 37 points on a countback from Mick Lonergan (23) also on 37 points.  The 2 Ball went to the father and son combination of Josh Thomas (+2) and Paul Thomas (20) with 44 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5^th hole went to Phil Colton at 268 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17^th hole to Mick Lonergan at 338 cms. Saturday 8th February… was a Single Stableford event. The winner was Paul Thomas (20) with 40 points on a countback from Greg McDonald (20) also on 40 points with Jason Duke (12) coming in third with 39 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2^nd hole went to Andrew Lawson at 156 cms, on the Parke street Group sponsored 5^th hole to Jonathon Milner at 274 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7^th hole to Sam Gray at 7 cms  great shot Sam, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13^th hole to Brett Bond at 114 cms on the Brett Bond sponsored 14^th hole to Corey Oldfield at 348 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17^th hole to Mick Ashford at 370 cms. Balls went to 37 points. Next Saturday the men play a Single Stableford and 2 Ball Better Ball generously sponsored by Frank Horacek. Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 6^th February was the Desley Alexander Memorial opening day generously sponsored by Ron Alexander. The winner was Sarah Gardner (24) with 35 points ahead of Rebecca Brown (21) on 32 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7^th hole went to Nola Lavers and on the 17^th hole to Sarah Gardner. Balls went to 28 points. Next Thursday the ladies  have a Single Stableford sponsored by Dorelle Pinch.

Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5^th hole went to Margaret Booth, on the 7^th hole to Chris Rhind and on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13^th hole to Ros Allen. Balls went to 32 points. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Louise Aaron.
