Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 4th to Sun 8th May
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 4th May was a Single Stableford and 2BBB played over a composite course of 16 holes. The winner of the Single event was Greg McDonald (14) with 33 points while the 2BBB went to Greg Nankervis (22) and Geoff Hilder (17) with 39 points. Balls went to 28 points.As is the case with many golf courses there are still some difficulties having the whole course in play after the unprecedented rain event but we are endeavouring to have the whole course back in play in the not too distant future. If you would like to like to join us each Wednesday simply call Darrin or Jack to book your time.
Saturday and Sunday 7th and 8th May…it was with some difficulty that we were able to get the Annual Autumn Bowl in with some great work from the people involved…Mark and Ros Allen, our Professional Golf team of Darrin and Jack Walden and Captain Brian Tulloch along with many others including the groundstaff and many volunteers.The winners of the 54th Bowl were the team of Mark and Ros Allen, Rebecca Brown and Al Campbell with an aggregate score of 218 points on a countback. The Hounslow Cup played as a Mixed 2 person aggregate stableford went to long time Autumn Bowl supporters and visitors ..Ian Cowper and Deb Young with an aggregate of 124 points. The Single Stableford went to Kevin Pidgeon (14) with 31 points ahead of Steve Tolhurst (9) with 30 points.Nearest the pin on the Kerry Wynne sponsored 13th hole went to J.Dukes at 246 cms and balls went to 26 points. Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 5th May was a Single Stableford played on a composite 14 hole course due to some holes being unplayable sponsored by Young Do. As the trophy doner Young Do (25) had 31 points the trophy went to the next best score by Rhonda Lonergan (24) with 26 points ahead of Di Pease (24) with 22 points on a countback.Nearest the pin on the Loneragan Family sponsored 5th hole went to Ros Allen with Young Do picking up the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole along with the 17th hole. Balls went to 18 points. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford over a yet to be decided course sponsored by Virginia Hurst.
