Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 4th to Sat 7th Oct
Blackheath Men… Wednesday 4th October was the usual Medley Midweek Single Stableford sponsored by the Proshop. The winner of the Single Stableford was Steve Tolhurst (10) with 40 points ahead of Kit Newcombe (6) with 36 points.Due to the size of the field there was no 2 Ball this week. Nearest the pin on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole went to Ross Delaney at 760 cms and balls went to 35 points on a countback.

Blackheath Men and Ladies…Saturday 7th October was our Annual Sponsors and Benefactor Day which is run each year to show the Club’s appreciation of our manySponsors and Benefactors played as a Medley 4 Person Ambrose. The overall winners were James Dakin, Christo Macartney, Alan Hui and Jack Walden playing off 4.25 and finishing with 50.75 nett. The Centenary Sponsors winners were Mike Gregg, Geoff Cope, Lynne Pressley and Louise Aaron playing off 11.88 and finishing with 55.12 nett, the Hole Sponsor winners were Ian Foulsham, Chris Quilter, Matthew Quilter and Michael Quilter playing off 9.25 and finishing with 52.75 nett, the weekly Competition Sponsor winners were Graham Dowdell, Mick Hillier, Adam Preen and Phil Colton playing off 7.38 and finishing with 63.62 and the Course and Clubhouse Volunteers winners were Stuart Brown, John Hollis, Brian Corscadden and Josh Thomas playing off 6 and finishing with 55 nett. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Russell Curtis at 220 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole(Ladies only) to Sarah Gardner at 750 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Matthew Quilter at 280 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Jesse Hardaker at 157 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Christo Macartney at 48 cms and on the unsponsored 17th hole to Jim Ballard at 20 cms. The club is looking for Saturday sponsors for the 14th and 17th holes…get you name up in lights for a small financial outlay each week in the Blue Mountains Gazette and on the Club’s website. If interested see Darrin or Jack in the proshop to be pointed in the right direction.
Next Thursday the Ladies play a Golden Ball with a Single Stableford in conjunction and on Saturday is a Medley 4 person Irish Team Stableford ( doing it for Jarrod Challenge ) sponsored by Garry Way and Rob Dempsey.
