Blackheath Ladies… Thursday 5th September was a Single Stableford sponsored by Rhonda Lonergan. The winner was Lyn Siebels (35) with 37 points ahead of Di Pease (23) on 35 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Carrie Soady, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Yvonne Murray and on the 17th hole to Rhonda Lonergan. Balls went to 34 points.Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Dorelle Pinch. Remember visitors are always welcomed at the Mountains TOP course where you can golf 7 days a week.

Saturday 7th September…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Womens Golf Blackheath. The winner was Chris Rhind (25) with 40 points ahead of Ros Allen (31) with 38 points. Nearest the pin on the 2nd  hole went to Liz Campbell, on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 13th hole to Yvonne Murray and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Rhonda Lonergan. Balls went to 35 points.Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Womens Golf Blackheath.

Blackheath Men…Wednesday 4th September was our usual Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2BBB sponsored by Darrins Proshop. The winner of the single event was John Nankervis (16) with 40 points ahead of Ross Delaney (14) on 39 points. The 2 Ball went to Cormac Miller (16) and Ian Hehir (20) with 48 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Darrell Gawthorpe at 206 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Ross Delaney at 220 cms. Balls went to 37 points. Visitors are always welcome to join in the fun at the Mountains TOP course each and every Wednesday by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Saturday 7th September…was the first round of the 2024 Championships with the September Medal and a Single Stableford in conjunction. The winner in A grade was Ben Oldfield (10) with 66 nett, the B grade went to Darrell Gawthorpe (16) with 69 nett on a countback and C grade went to the Club Captain, Brian Tulloch (19) with 66 nett. The Single Stableford went to Mick Hillier (12) with 40 points ahead of Geoff Cope (18) with 37 points. Round 2 of the Championships is played on Sunday 8th and the final 2 rounds are played on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September with the last round being seeded. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to John Riley at 2 cms, on the Parke Street group sponsored 5th hole to Luke Horgan at 69 cms, and on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole again to Luke Horgan at 276 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to John West at 220 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Pat Morgan at 230 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Jim O’Keeffe at 60 cms. Balls went to 69 nett on a countback in the Stroke round and to 37 points in the Stableford. Remember visitors are always welcome at the Mountains TOP course.

Friday 6th September…the 6 hole Proshop Challenge went to Sue Tonkin with Kerry Wynne a close second and Greg Nankervis won the Men’s competition. If you’d like to have a hit in the short 6 hole competition commencing each Friday at 3.00 just call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.
