Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 4th June to Sat 7th June

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 5th June was a Single Stableford sponsored by Yvonne Murray. The winner was Karen Tolhurst (34) with 34 points on a countback from Anne Morris (34) also on 34 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole went to Anne Morris, on the 13th hole to Karen Tolhurst and on the 17th hole to Carla Gilderdale. Balls went to 32 points with Anne Morris also picking up the Propin on the 7th hole. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Roz Starkey.

Saturday 7th June…was a Par event sponsored by Carrie Soady played in atrocious weather with the early “feel like” temperature of -5. The winner was Jean Simpson (34) with -2 ahead of Yvonne Murray (35) with -7. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Jean Simpson, on the 13th hole to Yvonne Murray and on the 17th hole again to Jean Simpson. Balls went to -8 on a countback. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Medley 2 Ball Multiplier with a Single Stableford in conjunction sponsored by Lynne Pressley and Geoff Cope. Blackheath Men…Wednesday 4th June was our popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford  sponsored by Darrin’s Proshop. The winner  John Nankervis (14)  with 40  points ahead of Frank Horacek (22) on 36 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Karl Munchow at 310 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to John Nankervis at 810 cms and balls went to 35 points. Saturday 7th June…was a Stroke event for the June Medal generously sponsored by Ian Hehir as always there was a Single Stableford in conjunction. The winner of the A grade medal was the ever reliable Barry Simpson (12) with 67 nett. The B grade Medal went to Ted Griffin (14) with 70 nett while the C grade Medal went to Ian Tonkin (21) with 70 nett. The Stableford event went The Australian G.C. visitor Samuel Chipkin (13) with 35 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Darrell Gawthorpe at 342 cms,on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Ian Hehir at 205 cms ,on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Nicolas Aronson at 205 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Mark Allen at 132 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole to Ted Griffin at 192 cm and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Carlos Donoso at 380 cms. Balls in the Medal went to 74 nett and to 34 points in the Stableford and well done to all those brave souls who braved the wind and cold. Next Saturday is a Medley 2 Ball Multiplier and Single Stableford sponsored by Lynne Pressley and Geoff Cope.
