Blackheath Men…Wednesday 3rdSeptember was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 Ball sponsored by Darrins Proshop.The winner of the Single Stableford was Jim O’Keeffe (6) with 39 points ahead of Stuart Brown (14) with 37 points. The 2 Ball went to that dynamic duo of Karl Munchow (12) and Steve Tolhurst (10) with 46 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5thhole went to Garry Way at 320 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17thhole to Barry Simpson at 439 cms. Saturday 6thSeptember…was the Spring Cup and the final round of the Vivaldi Four Seasons along with the September Medal generously sponsored by Martin Green and Mike Gregg.The winner of the Spring Cup and the September Medal was Bill Oldfield (3) with a fine 67 nett. The B grade medal and 5th place in the Spring Cup went to Cormac Miller (17) with 70 nett and the C grade Medal and Spring Cup Runner-up  went to Junior, Harry Hughan (34) with 68 nett. The other Spring Cup placings went to Kit Newcombe (6) with 70 nett on a countback in 3rd place from Greg Prosper (10) also on 70 nett in 4thplace. The winner of the Single Stableford was Karl Munchow (12) with 33 points. Nearest the pin on the unsponsored 2nd hole went to Kit Newcombe at 84 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Mick Hillier at 348 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Ossie Antaw at 322 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Luke Oldfield at 228 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole to Ian Hehir at 120 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Dalton Jones at 176 cms. Balls went to 71 nett on a countback.Next Saturday the Men play Round 1 of the Foursomes Championships with a Single Stableford in conjunction for those not wishing to play in the Foursomes.Round 2 and the final Round is on Saturday 20th September again with a single Stableford in conjunction.  Sunday 14this Round 5 of the Shipley Shield Challenge 4 Person Ambrose and if you wish to participate simply call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 4thSeptember was a 2 Person Ambrose sponsored by Louise Aaron and Marilyn Rowe. The winners were Karen Tolhurst and Carla Gilderdale playing off 17 and finishing with 68.8 on a countback from Louise Stevenson and Carrie Soady playing off 9 and also finishing with 68.8. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole went to Carrie Soady, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Mandy McAlister and on the 17thhole to Ros Allen. Balls went to 69.3.Next Thursday the Ladies play a Stroke event for a Club Medal and the Wendy Snelling Memorial along with Round 5 of the Roy Smith Memorial.

Saturday 6thSeptember…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Margaret Booth. The winner was Louise Aaron (37) with 38 points ahead of the evergreen, Carrie Soady (26)  on 35 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Nola Lavers, on the 13thand 17th holes both going to Yvonne Murray. Balls went to 30 points on a countback. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Sonya Mills.
