Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 3rd to Sat 6th December

BLACKHEATH MEN... Wednesday 3rd December was an important date being 3 weeks from Christmas and the day our popular Medley Single Stableford and 2 Ball Aggregate was held. The winner of the Single event was Stephen Caswell (20) with 41 points ahead of volunteer extraordinaire, Carlos Donoso (13) with 40 points. The 2 Ball Aggregate went to Stuart Brown (15) and Shane Murphy (5) with 78 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Kit Newcombe at 370 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Todd Cleary at 456 cms. Balls went to 38 points. Remember if you’d like a crack at the Mountains TOP course simply call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

BLACKHEATH Ladies...Thursday 4th December was the culmination of all those Medal rounds during the year with the Gold Medal Round being played. The winner was Lynne Pressley (25) with 66 nett ahead of Carrie Soady (27) with 68 nett well done Ladies. The Single Stableford held in conjunction for non-qualifiers went to Nola Lavers (29) with 38 points on a countback from Carla Gilderdale (33) also on 38 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Nola Lavers, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole went to Louise Aaron and on the 17thhole to Lynne Pressley. Next Thursday the Ladies have a 9 hole Bingo,Bango,Bongo competition followed by a Christmas Luncheon.

BLACKHEATH MEN...Saturday 6th December was our Annual Medley Christmas HAMS Day sponsored by the Claytons Club including Paul Rowe and Gordon Stovold and long time members, Al Campbell and Rebecca Brown.The winners of Hams for the Gents were...Greg McDonald with 44 points, Richard Kingswood with43 points, Sean Sweeney with 43 points. The winners of Turkey Roasts were Wally Shiel with 42 points, Mick Hillier with 41 points ,John Hollis with 40 points and John Holmes with 40 points.The Bradman award also fondly known as the Spam award uncharacteristically went to Jason Duke with 24 points. The remainder of prizes should be checked out by calling the Club on 47878406. The Winner of a ham for the Ladies was Lynne Pressley. The winners of Turkey Roasts for the Ladies were Carla Gilderdale with 42 points, Bec Brown with 42 points, Ros Allen with 39 points and Rhonda Lonergan with 34 points. The remainder of the prize winners should be checked out by calling the club on 47878406 or calling in at the Club during office hours. The nearest the pin winners can call the club or call in but we thank the Sponsors... Next Saturday is the Men’s Gold Medal Playoff generously sponsored by Greg McDonald for those who qualified along with the December Medal with a single Stableford for those not wishing to play a Stroke event and the Ladies begin their Summer Competition and all visitors are made welcome to play or enjoy the Clubhouse facilities at the Mountains TOP Club.
