Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 31st Jul to Sat 3rd Aug
Blackheath Ladies… Thursday 1st August was a Single Stableford sponsored by Susie Tonkin. The winner was Di Pease (23) with 34 points ahead of Celine Galvin (23) with 32 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Ros Allen, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Celine Galvin and on the 17th hole to Mandy McAlister. Balls went to 26 points. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Canadian Foursomes sponsored by Jenny O’Baugh and Maree Griffiths. The golf will be followed by the Lady’s Annual General Meeting.
Saturday 3rd August …was a Single Stableford sponsored by Nola Lavers. The winner was Yvonne Murray (30) with 30 points ahead of Rhonda Lonergan (22) with 29 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Sarah Gardner, on the 13th hole to Jean Simpson and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Sarah Gardner. Balls went to 29 points. Next Saturday on the Mountain’s TOP Course is a Stroke event for a Club Medal.
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 31st July was our usual Medley Single Stableford and 2 Ball on the Mountains TOP course where visitors are always welcome. The winner of the Single event was Jim O’Keefe (8) with 39 points while the 2 Ball went to Patrick Morgan (18) and Ian Hehir (17) with 47 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Howard Shaw at 283 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Todd Cleary at 95 cms. Balls went to 35 points. Remember if you would like to have a hit on the Mountain’s TOP course just call Darrin or Jack on 47878604 and select option 2.
Saturday 3rd August…was a stroke round for the August Medal with a Single Stableford in conjunction. The winner of the A grade medal was Corey Oldfield (5) with 65 nett, the B grade went to Todd Cleary (15) with 66 nett and the C grade went to Phil Colton (20) with 73 nett. The winner of the Single Stableford was Pasquale Abbatantuono (27) with 38 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Josh Thomas at 397 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Andrew Lawson at 535 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Mick Hillier at 327 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Mark Allen at 499 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Steve Tolhurst at 360 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Brad Evans at 510 cms. Balls went to 71 nett in the Medal and to 29 points in the Stableford. Next Saturday the Men play a Medley 4 Ball Better Ball at the Mountains TOP course where visitors are always welcome.
