Blackheath Men…Wednesday 31st January was our usual Medley Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by the Proshop. The winner of the single event was Stuart Brown (12) with 34 points while the 2 Ball went to Steve Caswell (15) and Carlos Donoso (14) with 43 points. Nearest the pin on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole failed to go off and balls went to 33 points. Remember for a crack at the Mountain’s BEST Midweek call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Saturday 3rd February…was a stroke event for the February Medal. The A grade resulted in a playoff being necessary in the March Medal with Kit Newcombe (4) and Brad Pidgeon (7) both finishing with 68 nett. The B grade went to Todd Cleary (15) with 65 nett and C grade went to Pat Morgan (19) with 68 nett.The Stableford played in conjunction went to Mick Campbell (13) with 40 points ahead of Adam Preen (18) on 37 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Geoff Hull at 363 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Phillip Beale at 190 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Graham Dowdell at 265 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Dylan Campbell at 242 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Brad Pidgeon at 66 cms and on the unsponsored 17th hole to Kit Newcombe at 401 cms. Balls in the Medal went to 70 nett on a countback and in the Stableford to 35 points. Next Saturday the Men play a Single Stableford and 2 BBB.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 1st February was a Single Stableford sponsored by Anne Morris. The winner was Trish Honeysett (29) with 32 points ahead of Di Pease (26) with 31 points. Nearest the pin on the 2nd hole went to Carrie Soady, on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole to Nola Lavers and on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Louise Aaron. Balls went to 27 points. Next Thursday is the postponed Desley Alexander Opening Day event sponsored by Ron Alexander.

Saturday 3rd February… was a Par event sponsored by Carrie Soady. The winner was Louise Stevenson (7) with +1 ahead of Sonya Mills (35) with -5. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 13th hole went to Louise Stevenson and on the New Age Kitchens sponsored 17th hole to Rebecca Brown. Balls went to -7. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Rhonda Lonergan.
