Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 2nd Apr to Sat 5th Apr
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 2nd April was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 Ball sponsored by Darrins Proshop. The winner of the single event was Phil Colton (16) with 37 points ahead of Andy Lavis (22) with 35 points on a countback.The 2 Ball went to Philip Kacir (21) and Benjamin Jackson (23) with 49 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Blake Ranse at 300 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Andrew Hamill at 470 cms and balls went to 34 points on a countback. Saturday 5th April…was a Stroke event for a Club Medal with a Single Stableford in conjunction. The winner of the A grade medal was Brad Howell (10) with 66 nett, the B grade went to Cormac Miller (15) with 71 nett and the C grade went to Koby Hamilton-Jones with 71 nett. The single Stableford went to Paul Rowe (18) with 37 points ahead of that 92 year old medical marvel…Murray Mehrtens (26) with 36 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Ian Evans at 138 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Joey Dean at 344 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Geoff Hull at 141 cms,on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Al Campbell at 226 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole to Martin Meredith at 450 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Jim Ballard at 120 cms. Balls in the Medal went to 71 nett and to 32 points in the Stableford. Next Saturday the Men play the postponed Keno-Go qualifying Ambrose and then on Monday join in the fun and watch the final round of the US Masters on the big screen followed by a wonderful Spikes Bistro Breakfast on the Balcony and then a 18 hole competition to win your very own Green Jacket. It’s all happening at Blackheath Golf and Community Club this month and don’t forget to join in the Medley Anzac Day 4 Person Ambrose and stay for the Dusk Ceremony later in the afternoon.Visitors are always welcome to join in the many weekly events at the Mountains TOP course by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.
Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 3rd April was Rd 1 of the 2025 Ladies Foursomes Championships and the field is currently led by Sarah Gardner and Chris Rhind (26) with a scratch score of 102 ahead of Lynne Pressley and Di Pease (24) on a scratch score of 104. Next Thursday the competition hots up with Rd 2 and the possibility of Fame and possible Fortune awaiting the winners.
Saturday 5th April…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Kerry Wynne. The winner was Chris Rhind (28) with 34 points ahead of Captain Marilyn Rowe (35) with 33 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Chris Rhind, on the 13th hole to Carrie Soady and on the 17th hole to Di Pease. Balls went to 30 points on a countback. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Mandy McAlister and remember visitors are always welcome at the Mountains TOP course.
