Blackheath Men…Wednesday 29th December was back to the usual Midweek Single Stableford and 2BBB at the top of the hill. The winner of the Single event was Ian Griffiths (11) with 41 points ahead of Brad Pidgeon (12) with 38 points. The 2 BBB went to Henry Herron (21) and Stephen Caswell (14) with 47 points. Nearest the pin on the 5th hole went to Stephen Caswell at 420 cms and on the 17th to Jim O’Keefe at 520 cms with balls going to 32 points. Come along and have a crack at the Mountain’s best course and sample the 3 newest holes recently opened by calling Darrin or Jack on 47875643.

Saturday 1st January on a brand new year was a Medley Single Stableford. The winner of the Ladies Single Event was Roz Allen (37) with 38 points ahead of Etsuko Saxton (31) with 37 points. The mens Single event was won by Wally Sheil (23) with 40 points ahead of Alexander Haliday (14) with 38 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Nola Lavers at 138 cms, on the Monocure 3D sponsored 7th hole to Wally Sheil at 500 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to John Van Veen at 202 cms, on the Ken Scully sponsored 14th hole to Kit Newcombe at 250 cms and on the Kerry Wynne sponsored 17th hole to Mick Hillier at 63 cms. Balls went to 34 points for the Ladies and to 32 points for the men. Next Saturday the Men play the first round of the Vivaldi Cup, a Scratch Vs Par event for the Summer Cup. The Ladies unofficial Summer Competition continues each Thursday and Saturday until early February.
