Blackheath Ladies… Thursday 29th August was a Single Stableford sponsored by Sue Tonkin. The winner was Rhonda Lonergan (22) with 36 points ahead of Louise Aaron (31) with 35 points.nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Sarah Gardner,on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Marilyn Rowe, on the 17th hole to Rhonda Lonergan and Louise Aaron picked up the $24 Propin on the 7th hole. Balls went to 32 points on a countback. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Rhonda Lonergan.

Saturday 31st August…was a Single Stableford played in extremely windy conditions. The winner was Carrie Soady (24) with 33 points ahead of Marilyn Rowe (29) with 31 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Di Pease, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Marilyn Rowe and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Sarah Gardner. Balls went to 28 points on a countback. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Sonya Mills.

Blackheath Men…Wednesday 28th August was the usual welcoming Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 Ball sponsored by Darrin’s Proshop. The winner with a great result in windy conditions was Jack Walden (+5) with 34 points while the 2 Ball went to Ian Griffiths (12) and Patrick Morgan (18) with 40 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole went to Sean Tuite at 12 cms..great shot Sean and balls went to 30 points on a countback. Saturday 31st August…was a Single Stableford and 2BBB. The winner of the single event was Michael Mole (12) with a creditable 36 points on a day where the wind gusted all day ahead of that great club stalwart 92 year old Murray Mehrtens (28) with 34 points on a countback. The 2 Ball went to Geoff Sutherland (28) and Ross Delaney (14) with 43 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Barry Simpson at 223 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Todd Cleary at 274 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Darrell Gawthorpe at 388 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Luke Oldfield at 522 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Steve Tolhurst at 690 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Mick Hillier at 237 cms. Balls went to 34 points on a countback. Next Saturday is Round 1 of the 2024 Club Championships and a Single Stableford for those not wishing to play in the 4 rounds of the Championships.
