Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 26th to Sat 29th November

BLACKHEATH MEN...Wednesday 26th November was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 Ball aggregate. Unfortunately the 2 Ball Aggregate was cancelled due to the wild storm that tore across the course during the afternoon. The winner of the Single Stableford was John Nankervis (13) with 36 points ahead of Jason Duke (10) on a countback with 35 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Shane Murphy at 76 cms and the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole failed to go off hopefully next Wednesday we get some better golfing weather and the field manages to complete the days competition. Visitors are always made welcome at Blackheath where the new holes are starting to take shape and members and visitors alike can get an idea what the exciting new holes will do to further enhance the way the course will look. BLACKHEATH MEDLEY...Saturday 29th November was a Medley 2 Person Multiplier. The winners were that dynamic duo comprising John Holmes and Steve Caswell with 72 points ahead of Jack Walden and Harry Hughan with 68 points. The Men’s Single Stableford went to Brad Carmady (18) with 39 points and the Ladie’s winner was Rebecca Brown (22) also with 39 points. Nearest the pin on the Fitness Plus Katoomba sponsored 2nd hole went to Luke Horgan at 183 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5thhole to Rebecca Brown at 900 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7thhole to Mani Hitchenson at 109 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13thhole (spare hole) to Steve Caswell at 151 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14thhole to Carlos Donoso at 120 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17thhole to Steve Williams at 300 cms. BLACKHEATH LADIES...Thursday 27th November was a Single Stableford sponsored by Ros Allen. The winner was Carla Gilderdale (36) with 43 points ahead of Dorelle Pinch (29) on 35 points. Nearest the pin on the 7th hole went to Louise Stevenson, on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 13th( spare Hole) went to Rebecca Brown also picking up the spoils on the 17th hole. Balls went to 33 points. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Stroke event for the Gold Medal with a Single Stableford for those non contenders and on Saturday is the Annual HAMS DAY sponsored by the Claytons Club hosted by Paul Rowe and Gordon Stovold.
