Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 27th June was a Single Stableford sponsored by Karen Tolhurst. The winner was Rebecca Brown (24) with 33 points ahead of Anne Morris (32) on 31 points. Nearest the pin on the 2nd went to Marilyn Rowe, on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole to Sally Keenan and on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Ros Allen. Balls went to 28 points. Next Thursday at the mountains TOP course the ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Sarah Gardner.
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 26th June on the MOUNTAINS TOP COURSE was our usual popular Medley Single Stableford and 2 Ball sponsored by the Proshop. The winner was our Course Superintendent Andrew Hamill (9) with 37 points ahead of Todd Cleary (15) with 35 points. The 2 Ball went to Mark Allen (9) and Cormac Miller (15) with 44 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Ross Delaney at 290 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to that amazing Senior Citizen, Murray Mehrtens at 140 cms. Balls went to 33 points on a countback. Come and join us each and every Wednesday at the MOUNTAINS TOP COURSE by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2. If you can’t make the Midweek join us each Friday for the Proshop 6 shootout where you start at 3.00 and simply play the 6 holes leading back to the clubhouse where you can indulge in a drink or 2 and enjoy a delicious meal.
Saturday 29th June ….was a 4 Ball Stableford and Golden Ball on the MOUNTAINS TOP COURSE with a Single Stableford in conjunction. The winner of the Single event was Cormac Miller (15) with 36 points on a countback. The Team Event went to Al Campbell, Steve Williams, Ossie Antaw and Todd Cleary with 48 points.The Golden Ball went to Ian Foulsham and Greg Nankervis with 33 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Greg McDonald at 69 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Stuart Brown at 302 cms, on the James Dakins sponsored 7th hole to John Holmes at 202 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Pat Morgan at 395 cms, the unsponsored 14th hole failed to go off and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Ian Foulsham at 290 cms. Balls went to 31 points. Next Saturday the men play a Stroke event for the July Medal. Visitors are always welcome at the MOUNTAINS TOP COURSE whether it be for golf a meal or a drink.
Friday 28th June…was the 6 hole Proshop Shootout. The winner was Mick Ashford with a credible 15 points for the 6 holes. To join in the fun call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2 .Kicks off at 3.00 PM each Friday.
Sunday 23rd June…was our 4 Person Medley Ambrose for points in the Centenary Shipley Shield. The winners were Rebecca Brown, Al Campbell, Ossie Antaw and Paul Rowe playing off a handicap of 8.88 and finishing with 55.12. The Single Stableford held in conjunction went to C.Harris (16) with 37 points. Come along and join us every Sunday for the Medley Single Stableford and the Medley Ambrose on the 3rd Sunday of the month by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2. We are intent on providing as many varied golfing events as possible with visitors always welcome at the MOUNTAINS TOP COURSE.
