Blackheath Men…Wednesday 23rd October was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 Ball sponsored by the Proshop. The winner of the Single event was Grahame Phillips (23) with 42 points while the 2 Ball went to Stuart Brown (14) and Ray Stanford (35) with 49 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Carlos Donoso at 351 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Stuart Brown at 124 cms. Saturday 26th October…was the Annual Jack Burrows Day sponsored by John and Margaret Holmes and held to honour the huge contribution Jack made for a long period to the Golf Club and the Blackheath Community in general. The winner of the gents event was Paul Rowe (18) who is in a purple patch right now with 38 points on a countback and the victorious lady was Rebecca Brown (20) who is also in that same purple patch at present. The Multiplier winners were Jesse Hardaker and David Hardaker with 76 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Steve Tolhurst at 440 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Jesse Hardaker at 162 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole Greg McDonald at 391 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Ian Hehir at 383 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Josh Thomas at 198 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Todd Cleary at 290 cms. Balls went to 34 points.Next Saturday the Men play for the November Medal. Blackheath Ladies…Wednesday 24th October was a Stroke round sponsored by WGB. The winner was Carrie Soady (26) with 68 nett ahead of Anne Morris (34) with 69 nett. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Carrie Soady, on the 7th hole to Dorelle Pinch also picking up the Propin and on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Carrie Soady. Balls went to 71 nett on a countback.Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Louise Aaron and on Saturday play a Stroke round for a Club Medal sponsored by WGB. After the highly successful Legends Pro-Am on Friday the normal Friday 6 Hole shootout will resume next Friday sponsored by the Proshop…to book call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.
