Blackheath Men…Wednesday 27th march was our normal Medley Midweek competition sponsored by the proshop. The winner of the Single event was Kevin Lamb (17) with 40 points ahead of Michael mole (11) on 37 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Cormac Miller at 347 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst family sponsored 17th hole to Steve Purdon at 152 cms. Balls went to 34 points. If you’d like to have a crack at the Mountains BEST Midweek just call Darrin or Jack on 47878406.

Saturday 30th March…was a 2 Ball better ball and a Single Stableford.The winner of the single event was Jim O’Keefe (6) with a fine 40 points ahead of Paul Williams (15) with 38 points on a countback. The 2 Ball went to the dynamic odd couple of Jim Ballard (4) and Tom Curtis (17) with 48 points ahead of Jonathon Milner (9) and Nicholas Aronson (22)with 47 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Kit Newcombe at 120 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Ian Hehir at 155 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Guen Jun You at 30 cms, on the Tonkin family sponsored 13th hole to Ross Delaney at 200 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Jacob Apicella at 66 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Phill Paull at 218 cms. Balls went to 36 points. Next Saturday the Men play a Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by Steve Tolhurst.Don’t forget the fabulous membership offer for 18-40 year olds where you can become full members for only $70 till the end of the year.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 28th March was a Single Stableford sponsored by Chris Rhind. The winner was Northbridge visitor Mary McClean (26) with 36 points on a countback ahead of Karen Tolhurst (32) also on 36 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole went to Karen Tolhurst, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Ros Allen and on the 17th hole to Mary McClean. Balls went to 30 points.Next Thursday the Ladies play Round 1 of the Foursomes Championships sponsored by Womens golf Blackheath.

Saturday 30th March…was a Stroke event for a Club Medal. The winner was Sarah Gardner (22) with a fine 65 nett ahead of Chris Rhind (27) with 77 nett. The Scratch was also won by Sarah Gardner with 87 off the stick. The Putting went to Chris Rhind with 34 putts on a countback. Nearest the pin on  the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole went to Bec Brown, on the 13th hole to Chris Rhind and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole again to Bec Brown. Balls went to 80 nett. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Linda Foulsham.
