Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 21st September was round 3 of the Midweek Stableford Championships sponsored by Roula Gorey. The winner was Sarah Gardner (22) with 34 points on a countback from Louise Aaron (31) also on 34 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Sarah Gardner, Mandy McAlister picked up the Propin on the 7th hole, the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole went to Maree Griffiths and the 17th hole went to Marilyn Rowe. Balls went to 30 points. Next Thursday is the final round of the Midweek Stableford championships.

Saturday 23rd September…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Lynne Pressley. The winner was Rebecca Brown (21) with a fine 40 points ahead of Yvonne Murray (29) with 36 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole went to Etsuko Saxton, on the 5th hole to Sarah Gardner picking up the $148 Propin, on the 13th hole to Yvonne Murray and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole also to Yvonne Murray. Balls went to 31 points. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Etsuko Saxton.

Blackheath Men…Wednesday 20th September was the usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 BBB. The winner of the Single Stableford was Darrell Gawthorpe (15) with 38 points ahead of Murray Mehrtens (25) with 36 points. The 2 Ball went to Pat Kenny (22) and Carlos Donoso (13) with 51 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Phil Colton at 600 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Geoff Cope at 148 cms. Saturday 23rd September…was a Single Stableford and 2BBB sponsored by Graham and Tara Dowdell. The winner of the Single Stableford was Henry Herron (22) with 44 points ahead of Michael Unsworth (12) with 38 points. The 2 Ball went to Kevin Tooke (29) and David Glasson (36) with 51 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Ross Delaney at 490 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Steve Tolhurst at 1140 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Ross Delaney at 420 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Ian Evans at 495 cms, on the Ken Scully sponsored 14th hole to Mark Allen at 179 cms and on the Laurance and Mary Petkevitch sponsored 17th hole to David Glasson at 22 cms. Balls went to 36 points. Next Saturday is the September Medal with a Single Stableford for those not wishing to play the Stroke event.
