Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 1st to Sat 4th October

BLACKHEATH LADIES…Thursday 2nd October was a Single Stableford sponsored by Chris Rhind. The winner was Roula Gorey with 40 points ahead of Louise Aaron with 36 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Karen Tolhurst,on the 13th and 17th holes both to Dorelle Pinch. Balls went to 31 points. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Sue Tonkin. Remember Visitors are always welcome at the Mountains TOPcourse and a further reminder to adjust your clock as Daylight Saving kicked in on Sunday Morning.

Saturday 4th October…was a Canadian Foursomes sponsored by Al Campbell. The winners were Sarah Gardner and Louise Aaron playing of 21.75 and finishing with 69.25 ahead of Dorelle Pinch and Louise Stevenson playing off 14.63 and finishing with 75.37. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Louise Stevenson, on the 13th hole to Sarah Gardner and on the 17th hole to Marilyn Rowe.Balls went to 78 nett. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Stroke event for a Club Medal. Daylight Saving has kicked in so lets see lots of Ladies playing and supporting their club events.

Blackheath Men…Wednesday 1st October was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 BBB at the Mountains Premier course at the TOP of the hill. The winner of the single event was Paul Jury (20) with 37 points ahead of Mark Allen (14) on 36 points on a countback. The 2 Ball went to a returning crock called Garry Way (18) and Steve Caswell (19) with 45 points and good to see Garry hitting form so quickly after his recent body restructuring events. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Howard Shaw at 710 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Steve Caswell at 209 cms. Balls went to 33 points on a countback. Everyone with a GA handicap is welcome to join us any day for one of our many competition events by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and selecting option 2 visitors are always welcome at the Mountains TOP course.

Saturday 4th October…was Rd 1 of the 2025 Mens Club Championships and the October Medal and a Single Stableford in conjunction.The winner of the A grade Medal was Ossie Antaw (6) with 67 nett, the Bgrade Medal went to Stuart Brown (14) with 66 nett and the C grade Medal went to John Hollis at 67 nett. The Single Stableford went to Ian Tonkin (21) with a fine 43 points. The Round 1 winner and current leader of the Championships is Bill Oldfield with a scratch score of 73...watch this space for progressive scores in the Championships. Nearest the pin on the unsponsored 2nd hole went to Ian Tonkin at 326 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Christo Macartney at 230 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Bill Oldfield at 277 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Barry Simpson at 298 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole to Bill Oldfield at 380 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Mick Ashford at 46 cms. Balls in the Medal went to 72 nett and to 34 points in the Stableford. Don’t forget to watch the next episode in the 2025 Championships right here at the Mountains TOP course with a Single Stableford for those opting out of the Stroke event.
