Blackheath Men…Wednesday 1st January 2025 and welcome to the new year was our usual popular Medley Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by Darrins Proshop.The winner of the single event was Ross Delaney (10) with 41 points on a countback from Sam West (34) also on 41 points while the 2 Ball went to the Young Guns in Harry Hughan (36) and Tom Curtis(10) with 46 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Karl Munchow at 180 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Tom Curtis at 330 cms. Balls went to 35 points on a countback. Remember you can join us each Wednesday at the Mountains TOP course by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2 and visitors are always welcome at the TOP course on the mountains.

Saturday 4th January… the Summer Cup is one of the club’s oldest trophies being originally instigated in the 1920s and continuing to this day played as a Scratch versus Par event. The winner was Josh Thomas (3) finishing up square with the card. The winner of round 1 of the Vivaldi 4 Seasons Cup sponsored by Mike Gregg and Martin Green was Ossie Antaw (8) with +8 ahead of and in second place was Tom Hitchenson (19) with +5 and picking up the minor placings in 3rd place was Andrew Lawson (10) with +3 on a countback from and in 4th place was Darrell Gawthorpe (16) also on +3. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Bill Oldfield at 174 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to John Hollis at 250 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Sam Gray at 132 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Josh Thomas at 275 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole to Michael Mole at 850 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Darrell Gawthorpe at 212 cms. Balls went to Square on a countback. Next Saturday is the Medley Coring Cup sponsored by Living Turf.
