Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 19th to Sat 22nd November

BLACKHEATH LADIES...Thursday 20th November was a Single Stableford generously sponsored by Roula Gorey. The victor was Chris Rhind (29) with 38 points on a countback from Carrie Soady (27) also on 38 points. Nearest the pin on the generously sponsored by Paul Loneragan 5thhole went to Rebecca Brown, on the 13th hole still generously sponsored by the Tolhurst Family to Louise Aaron and on the 17thhole again to Rebecca Brown. Balls went to 36 points on a countback. Next Thursday on the Mountains TOP course the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Roz Allen. Visitors are always welcome to join in and you can book by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Blackheath Men...Wednesday 19th November was our usual popular Medley Midweek Competition sponsored by Darrins Proshop. The winner of the Single Stableford was Carlos Donoso (14) with 41 points ahead of John Holmes (26) with 40 points. The 2 Ball Aggregate went to that dynamic duo of Darrell Gawthorpe(16) and Phil Colton (18) with 76 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Brent Moore at 650 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Gary Lenson at 116 cms. Balls went to 35 points on a countback. Remember visitors are always made welcome at the Mountains TOP course and to book simply call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Saturday 22nd November...was a Charity Day organised by the magnificent Blackheath Ladies Committee. The Day raised a grand total of $2300 for Breast Cancer. The event was played as a 2 Person Ambrose and the Men’s winners playing off 3.5 were Russell Curtis and son, Thomas with 59.5 ahead of Ben Oldfield and Andrew Howard playing off 3.5 and finishing half a shot back with 60 nett. The Lady winners playing off 19.5 were Maree Griffiths and Jenny O’Baugh with 73.5 nett. The Mixed Team winners playing off 14 were Ed Rutherford and Ingrid Donald with 57 nett ahead of Al Campbell and Louise Stevenson playing off 5 and finishing with 58 nett on a countback.Nearest the pin on the Fitness Plus Katoomba sponsored 2ndhole went to Carlos Donoso at 200 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5thhole to Tom Curtis at 196 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Bill Oldfield at 122 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13thhole to Ed Rutherford at 52 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14thhole to Harry Hughan at 220 cms and for the Ladies Zaley Attwater at 425 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Andrew Howard at 258 cms and for the Ladies to Lynne Pressley at 350 cms. The Ladies Straightest Drive went to Chris Rhind and the Mens to Ed Rutherford. In conclusion...a great day was had by all with money raised for Breast Cancer Research and some great golf played along the way. The Blackheath Ladies thank all who participated and all who supported this great cause.
