Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 18th Sep to Sat 21st Sep
Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 19th September was a Single Stableford sponsored by Yvonne Murray. The winner was Sonya Mills (33) with 42 points ahead of Carrie Soady (24) on 38 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Di Pease, on the Tolhurst family sponsored 13th hole to Margaret Booth and on the 17th hole to Yvonne Murray. Balls went to 32 points. Next Thursday at the Mountain’s TOP course the Ladies play a Stroke event for a Club Medal sponsored by Womens Golf Blackheath. Remember visitors are always welcome.
Saturday 21st September…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Sonya Mills. The winner was Chris Rhind (24) with 37 points ahead of Louise Aaron (30) with 35 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Di Pease, on the 13th hole to Chris Rhind and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Nola Lavers. Balls went to 32 points on a countback. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Par event sponsored by Di Pease.
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 18th September was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by Darrin’s Proshop. The winner of the Single event was Andy Lavis (27) with 38 points ahead of Todd Cleary (14) with 37 points. The 2 Ball went to that club legend at 92 years old Murray Mehrtens (27) and another stalwart in Frank Horacek (19) with 49 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Stuart Brown at 312 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Paul Rowe at 395 cms. The winner of the Single event was Andrew Lawson (9) with 39 points ahead of Luke Horgan (11) with 37 points. The 2 Ball Aggregate went to the family affair of Bill Oldfield (2) and Ben Oldfied (9) with 71 points ahead of Paul Rowe (19) and Todd Cleary (13) with 69 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Fran Beck at 195 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Andrew Lawson at 256 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to John Reid at 178 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Claire Cooper at 146 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Mani Hitchenson at 165 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to John Harrison. Balls went to 34 points on a countback. Next Saturday at the Mountain’s TOP course the Men play a Stroke event for the Spring Cup..in conjunction with the Vivaldi Four Seasons Cup generously sponsored by Mike Gregg and Martin Green. As always there is a Single Stableford for those not wishing to play the Stroke event. Friday 20th September…the 6 hole Proshop Challenge 6 hole Shootout went to Club President Lynne Pressley with 15 points and the Men’s event went to Carlos Donoso also on 15 points. This is on every Friday afternoon kicking off at 3.00 pm and only playing 6 holes is a great new innovation where you can stay for a drink and dine at the club.
