Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 17th to Sat 20th September
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 17thSeptember was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 BBB at the Mountains TOP course. The winner of the Single event was Josh Thomas (+2) with 37 points on a countback from Cormac Miller (17) also on 37 points. The 2 Ball went to Mark Allen (14) and Henry Herron (17) with 44 points. Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5thhole went to Steve Tolhurst at 580 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17thhole to Carlos Donoso at 206 cms. Saturday 20th September…was Round 2 of the 2025 Foursomes Championships with a Single Stableford in conjunction for those not wishing to participate in the Foursomes.The winners and 2025 Foursomes Champions are Ossie Antaw and Russell Curtis with an aggregate 2 round score of 159. The 2025 Foursomes Championship handicap winners were Al Campbell and Mark Allen with an aggregate 2 round score of 159 nett. The winner of the Single Stableford was Robbie Feyder (17) with 38 points ahead of Ross Delaney (17) with 37 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the unsponsored 2ndhole went to Karl Munchow at 136 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5thhole to John Hollis at 310 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7thhole to Steve Tolhurst at 370 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13thhole to Luke Oldfield at 650 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14thhole to Michael Unsworth at 506 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Tom Hitchenson at 311 cms. Balls in the Foursomes went to 77.5 nett and to 30 points in the Stableford.
Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 18thSeptember was a Stroke round for the Wendy Snelling Memorial and a Club Medal.The winner was Roula Gorey (41) with 71 nett ahead of Rhonda Lonergan (25) with 78 nett. The winner of Scratch was Rhonda Lonergan with 103 and the Putting went to Roz Allen with 32 Putts. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2ndhole went to Marilyn Rowe, on the 13th hole to Chris Rhind and on the 17th hole to Rhonda Lonergan. Balls went to 80 on a countback. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford generously sponsored by Nola Lavers.
Saturday 20thSeptember…was a Stroke event for a Club Medal. The winner on a cold and blustery day was Rebecca Brown (20) with 77 nett ahead of Rhonda Lonergan (25) with 78 nett. The Scratch winner was Rebecca Brown with 97 also winning the Putting with 30 Putts. Nearest the pin on the 7th and 17thholes both going to Rebecca Brown with Carla Gilderdale picking up the Paul Loneragan sponsored 13th hole. A day full of disappointment with some Ladies not finishing due to the extreme weather. Next Saturday the Ladies join the Men in our Inaugural Family Cup 2 Person Medley Ambrose where anyone can play but relatives are encouraged to team up.
