Blackheath Men…Wednesday 17th January was our usual Medley Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by the Proshop.The winner of the single event was Shane Murphy (5) with 38 points ahead of Tom Hitchenson (29) with 35 points on a countback.Balls went to 34 points on a countback. Come along and join us each Wednesday by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Saturday 20th January… was Round 2 and the Final Round of the 2024 Mixed Foursomes Championships and the winners were Chris Rhind and Jim O’Keefe with a team handicap of 16 and finishing with a 2 Round scratch score of 170. The handicap winners were Michael Mole and Nola Lavers with a team handicap of 21.5 and finishing with 143 nett on a countback. The daily scratch event went to Lynne Pressley and Ozzie Antaw with a team handicap of 14 and finishing with a scratch score of 86 and the daily handicap event went to Michael Mole and Nola Lavers with a team handicap of 21.5 and finishing with 67.5 nett.The Single Stableford held in conjunction went to Brad Pidgeon (8) with 40 points ahead of Jim Ballard (5) with 39 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Sam Gray at 30 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Pat Morgan at 175 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Todd Cleary at 36 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Chris Rhind at 99 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Bill Oldfield at 269 cms and on the unsponsored 17th hole to Geoffrey Sutherland at 484 cms. Balls went to 74 nett in the Foursomes and to 35 points on a countback in the Stableford.Next Saturday is one of our oldest events…The Summer Cup sponsored by Mike Gregg and Martin Green and don’t forget the Australia Day event of a Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by Ian and Maree Griffith and there are still plenty of time slots available.
