Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 17th Jul to Sat 20th Jul
Blackheath Ladies… Thursday 18th July was a Single Stableford sponsored by Susie Tonkin. The winner was Trish Honeysett (33) with 38 points ahead of Carrie Soady (28) on 31 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Sarah Gardner also picking up the spoils on the 7th hole and on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Rebecca Brown. Balls went to 29 points. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Stroke event for a Club Medal.
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 17th July was our usual popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2 Ball on the Blue Mountains TOP golf course. The winner of the Single event was our up and coming junior, Tom Curtis (17) with 36 points while the 2 Ball went to Michael Ashford (16) and Todd Cleary (14) with 42 points.Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Todd Cleary at 460 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Shane Murphy at 240 cms. Balls went 33 points on a countback. Remember to have a crack at the Mountains BEST Medley Midweek on the Mountains TOP course just call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2…Visitors are always welcome at Blackheath.
Saturday 20th July…was a Medley 2 person Ambrose held in cold and windy conditions. The very deserving winners were Michael Ashford and Luke Horgan playing off 6.25 and finishing with 63.75 nett and the Single event went to another very deserving winner in Michael Mole (12) with 32 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Jim O’Keefe at 140 cms, the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole and the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole both went to Darrell Gawthorpe at 200 cms and 108 cms respectively and the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole went to Luke Horgan at 48 cms. Next Saturday the Men play a Stableford event for the Winter Cup and a round (3) of the Vivaldi Cup generously sponsored by Michael Gregg and Martin Green.
