Blackheath Men…Wednesday 17th April was the usual Midweek Medley single Stableford and 2 BBB where everyone with a GA handicap is welcome. The winner of the Single event was Ian Hehir (18) with 39 points ahead of Josh Thomas (-3) with 38 points. The 2 Ball went to a couple of old stalwarts in Frank Horacek (18) and Grahame Phillips (22) with 43 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Jack Jury at 220 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Greg McDonald at 244 cms. Saturday 20th April ….was a 2BBB and single stableford. The winner of the single event was Luke Oldfield (12) with 38 points ahead of Andrew Lawson (8) with 36 points on a countback. The 2 Ball went to Stuart Brown (7) and Corey Oldfield (13) with 47 points.nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Cormac Miller at 92 cms, on the Parke street Group sponsored 5th hole to Graham Dowdell at 540 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Ernest Pope at 120 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Ian Hehir at 178 cms,on the unsponsored 14th hole to Christo Macartney at 220 cms and on the Keith and Chris Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Kit Newcombe at 510 cms. Balls went to 34 points on a countback. Next Saturday the men play the historic Royal Blackheath day sponsored by Jon still and Roger Sanderson and there are still spots available for the Anzac Day Ambrose with Breakfast and Lunch part of the package…call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 18th April was the Ladies Open Day. The winner of the Single event in Division 1 was Wentworth Falls visitor Tilly Elderfield (20) with 33 points ahead of Lynwood visitor Margaret Selby (22) with 32 points on a countback.The Division 2 winner was local Sonya Mills (35) with 32 points on a countback ahead of another local in  Etsuko Saxton (30) also on 32 points. Nearest the pin on the 2nd hole went to Di Pease, on the 5th hole to Deidre Paul, on the 7th hole to Tilly Elderfield, on the 13th hole to Nola Lavers, on the 17th hole to Joy Stewart and the best 2nd shot on the 14th went to Jenny Meaney. The straightest Drive went to Anne Fraser. Next Thursday is of course Anzac Day and as previously mentioned we still have some times available. Breakfast and a sit down lunch are included in the $80 cost sponsored by Blackheath Rotary club and the golf is followed by an auction and a dusk Service.
