Blackheath Men…Wednesday 15th November was our usual popular Medley Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by the Proshop. The winner of the Single event was Karl Munchow (12) with 41 points ahead of Kevin Tooke (24) with 39 points on a countback. The 2 Ball went to Ian Hehir (21) and Ray Stanford (34) with 47 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Mark Allen at 635 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Barry Simpson at 475 cms. Balls went to 36 points on a countback. Come along and join us each and every Wednesday for a crack at the Mountain’s best Midweek by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Saturday 18th November…The annual Blackheath Open sponsored by Ray White Real Estate was played. The Blackheath Open champion for 2023 was John Glasheen (0) with a fine round of 67.The winner of the A grade nett was David Appleby (10) with 65 nett, the winner of the B grade nett was Greg Nankervis (14) with 63 nett and the winner of the C grade nett was Robert Molino (24) with 70 nett. The Scratch winner of the Vets was Andrew Burton (3) with 71 while the nett winner was Ross Delaney (14) with 68 nett.The winner of the Juniors was local up and coming junior Tom Curtis (20) with 78 nett. The single Stableford played in conjunction was won by that well worn gentlemen Murray Mehrtens (28) with a fine 38 points.Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to John Glasheen at 50 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Stuart Brown at 154 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Darrell Gawthorpe at 160 cms, on the Tonkin family sponsored 13th hole to Andrew Burton at 40 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to John Glasheen at 235 cms and on the unsponsored 17th hole to Christo Macartney at 98 cms. Balls in the Open went to 69 nett and to 37 points in the stableford. Next Saturday the Men play a Medley 2 Ball with a Single Stableford in conjunction.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 16th November was a Single Stableford sponsored by Dorelle Pinch. The winner was Carrie Soady (24) with 34 points ahead of Etsuko Saxton (32) with 32 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Ros Allen, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Etsuko Saxton and on the 17th hole to Chris Rhind. Balls went to 29 points. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Roz Starkey followed by the Club Captain’s Luncheon.

Saturday 18th November…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Susie Tonkin.The winner was Lady Captain Marilyn Rowe (29) with 34 points ahead of Lynne Pressley (19) with 33 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Ros Allen, on the 13th hole to Rhonda Lonergan and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Lynne Pressley. Balls went 30 points on a countback. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Ros Allen.
