Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 14th to Sat 17th Feb
Blackheath Men…Wednesday 14th February was our usual Medley Single Stableford and 2 BBB open to everyone with a Golf Australia handicap. The winner of the Single event was Josh Thomas (+3) with 37 points while the 2 Ball went to Ross Delaney (14) and Steve Tolhurst (8) with 45 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Darrell Gawthorpe at 410 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to Mark Allen at 341 cms. Saturday 17th February…was a 2 Man Ambrose and Keno qualifying round sponsored by Frank Horacek. The winning pair were Bill and Ben Oldfield playing off 3.5 and finishing with 59.5 ahead of Graham Dowdell and Mick Hillier playing off 4.75 and finishing with 60.25. The Single Stableford went to Steve Tolhurst (8) with 35 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Brad Evans at 200 cms, on the Parke street Group sponsored 5th hole to Andrew Lawson at 84 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Mani Hitchenson at 190 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Steve Tolhurst at 330 cms and on the unsponsored 17th hole to Jason Duke at 166 cms. Balls went to 61.75. Next Saturday is the Medley Mt Wilson Shuffle sponsored by Robbie Feyder, Geoff Hull, Ted Griffin and Alex Halliday. Blackheath Ladies…Thursday was abandoned due to wet weather but Saturday 17th was a Single Stableford sponsored by Rhonda Lonergan. The winner was Louise Stevenson (7) with 34 points ahead of Carrie Soady (26) with 30 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the 7th hole went to Lynne Pressley, on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 13th hole to Rhonda Lonergan and on the New age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Lynne Pressley. Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Roz Allen and on Saturday join the Men in playing the popular Mt Wilson Shuffle sponsored by Robbie Feyder, Geoff Hull, Ted Griffin and Alex Halliday.
