Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 15th May was Round 1 of the 2025 Ladies Club Championships along with a Club Medal with Round 2 being played next Thursday 22nd May. The winner of the first round and the Medal was Margaret Booth (18) with 69 nett ahead of Rebecca Brown (22) with 75 nett. The Scratch winner was Margaret Booth with 87 and the Putting also went to Margaret Booth with 30 Putts. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Sarah Gardner, on the 13th hole to Rebecca Brown and on the 17th hole to Margaret Booth.Balls went to 81 nett on a countback. Good Luck next week Ladies.

Blackheath Men…Wednesday 14th May was our popular Medley Midweek Single Stableford and 2BBB sponsored by Darrin’s Proshop. The winner of the Single event was Christo Macartney (9) with 35 points on a countback from Josh Thomas (+3) also on 35 points. The 2 Ball went to Phil Colton (13) and Mick Hillier (13) with 45 points. Nearest the pin on the Mt Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole failed to go off while the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole went to Jim O’Keeffe at 255 cms and balls went to 33 points on a countback. Blackheath Men & Ladies…Saturday 17th May was the Annual Medley Celtic Challenge 4BBB sponsored by Ian Foulsham and Bull Son and Schmidt.The winner of the Single event was Bexley visitor Matthew Braund (19) with 36 points ahead of local Legend Stuart Brown (15) with 35 points. The winners of the 4 Ball Better Ball were Greg McDonald (17),Mick Hillier (13), Graham Dowdell (8) and John Wilson (25) with 52 points.Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Andrew Lawson at 188 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Kit Newcombe at 310 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Matthew Braund at 440 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Mick Hillier at 98 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole to Russell Curtis at 224 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Andrew Lawson at 192 cms. Balls went to 33 points. Next Saturday the Men play the Autumn Cup Vivaldi Four seasons Cup sponsored by Martin Green and Mike Gregg and the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Linda Foulsham.Remember visitors are always welcome at the Mountains TOP course and the Shipley Shield has made it’s return with Round 2 being played on Sunday 22nd June.
