Blackheath Men…Wednesday 12th January was the usual Midweek Single Stableford and 2BBB at the top of the hill. The winner of the Single Stableford with a credible 41 points was Adam Preen (16) ahead of Kit Newcombe (3) with 39 points on a countback. The 2 Ball went to Wayne Clayton (15) and Cameron Harris (10) with 50 points ahead of Jim O’Keefe (7) and Martin Schiller (20) with 45 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the 5th went to Steve Rabone at 135 cms and on the 17th to Jim O’keefe at 149 cms. Balls went to 34 points on a countback. Saturday 15th January was the first round of the 2022 Foursome Championships for both Ladies and Men with a Single Stableford in conjunction for those lacking the fortitude to play the Foursomes.The leaders of the Men’s Championships with a Scratch score of 78 are Chris Baker and Brent Bones while the handicap leaders are Steve Rabone and Darrell Gawthorpe with 64 nett.The leaders of the Ladies Championships are Maree Griffith and Cindy Fitzgerald with 76.5 nett.Both the Mens and Ladies Championships will conclude after next Saturdays event. The Single Stableford went to Christo Macartney (7) with 39 points ahead of John grant (19) with 38 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Mark Allen at 208 cms, on the Leading Edge Computer sponsored 5th hole to John Grant at 360 cms, on the Monocure 3D sponsored 7th hole to Mani Hitchenson at 245 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Steve Tolhurst at 198 cms,on the Ken Scully sponsored 14th hole to Tom Godfrey at 596 cms and on the Kerry Wynne sponsored 17th hole to John VanVeen at 100 cms. Balls went to 74 nett in the foursomes and to 35 points in the Medley Stableford.
The Ladies Summer competition each Thursday and the 9 Hole Competition on Monday continue as usual.
