Blackheath Golf Results - Wed 10th to Sat 13th September

BLACKHEATH LADIES…due to the cards we’ve been dealt weather wise the Ladies only competition day was Saturday 13th September which was a Single Stableford generously sponsored by Sonya Mills.The winner was Yvonne Murray (36) with 38 points ahead of Jane Davidson (20) with 37 points. Nearest the pin on the 5thhole went to Jane Davidson, on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 13thhole to Kerry Wynne and on the 17th hole to Chris Rhind. Balls went to 29 points. Next week on Thursday 18th the Ladies play a Stroke round for the Wendy Snelling Memorial and a Club Medal sponsored by Ros Starkey and on Saturday 20th play a Stroke round for a Club Medal.Remember if you have a Golf Australia handicap you can join the Ladies at the Mountains TOP course by calling Darrin or jack on 47878406 and select Option 2.

Blackheath Men…Wednesday 10thSeptember was a washout but will return this coming Wednesday 17thwhere we will have the Mountains Premier Midweek Single Stableford and 2BBB sponsored by Darrins Proshop and visitors are always welcome to join in by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Saturday 13thSeptember…was Round 1 of the Mens Foursomes Championships with a Single Stableford in conjunction for those not wishing to participate in the Foursomes (Gruesomes) Championship. The winners of Day 1 were Ossie Antaw and Russell Curtis with 77 and the Handicap winners of Day 1 were Al Campbell and Mark Allen with 71.5 nett. The Stableford winner was John Holmes (28) with 43 points ahead of Pat Morgan (19) with 39 points.Nearest the pin on the as yet unsponsored 2nd  hole went to Pat Morgan at 627 cms, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Bill Oldfiel;d at 408 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Jason Duke at 890 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Darrell Gawthorpe at 64 cms, the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole failed to go off and the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole went to Todd Cleary at 490 cms.Balls in the Foursomes went to 71.5 nett and to 30 points in the Stableford. Next Saturday at the Mountains TOP course the Men play the final round in the Foursomes with a Single Stableford in conjunction. On Saturday 27this a Medley 2 Person Ambrose including the Relatives Challenge so jump in and grab a family member golfer and strive to win our inaugural Relatives Challenge.
