Blackheath Ladies.

The Annual Blackheath Ladies 2 Day Classic was another huge success for the Blackheath Ladies with 20 clubs participating in the 2 days of golf. Thursday 18th October was a Single Stableford play in 3 Handicap divisions. The winner of Division 1 (0-24) was Mollymook visitor Susan Walker ahead of Lynwood visitor Deb Northwood. The winner of Division 2 (25-33) was Manly visitor Su Cordiner ahead of another Manly visitor in Jenny Bamford while division 3 (34-45) went to Royal Sydney visitor Penny Palmer ahead of Manly visitor Louiza Menzel. Nearest the pin on the 7th hole for Division 1 went to Jenny smith from Lynwood, Division 2 on the 2nd hole went to Susan Taylor from Leura and on the 17th hole to Su Cordiner from Manly and Division 3 on the 5th hole went to Dorelle Pinch from Blackheath and on the 13th hole to Pam Pashley from Roseville. The Straightest drive on the 9th hole went to Susan Cooper.

Thursday 19th October…Day 2 of the Ladies Classic was played as a 2 Person Ambrose with over 90 starters. The winners of Division 1 (0-24) were the Lynwood pairing of Tracey Lindsay and Anne Pederson ahead of another Lynwood pairing of Jennifer Smith and Fiona Mildren. Division 2 (25-33) was won by the Manly pairing of Su Cordiner and Louiza Menzel ahead of the Lithgow pairing of Jennifer Wild and Kerry Harmes while Division 3 (34-45) went to the Lynwood pairing of Robyn Keyvar and Lorraine Gowan ahead of a Manly pairing of Janet Jordan and Jenny Bamford.Nearest the pins in Division 1 went to Margaret Howarth on the 7th hole in division 2 to Susan Taylor on the 2nd hole and to Dorelle Pinch on the 17th hole while Division 3 went to Lorraine Gowan on the 5th hole and to Susie Paull on the 13th hole. The Straightest drive on the 9th hole went to Mary Petkevitch.

Saturday 21st October…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Margaret Booth. The winner was Sonya Mills (35) with 40 points ahead of Yvonne Murray (29) with 36 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole went to Jean Simpson, on the 13th hole to Rhonda Lonergan and on the New age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Yvonne Murray. Balls went to 34 points. Next Thursday the ladies play a single Stableford sponsored by Mandy McAlister and on Saturday is the Annual Medley Jack Burrows Day sponsored by the Holmes Family.

Blackheath Men

Saturday 21st October was a Single Stableford and 2 Ball Multiplier sponsored by Lynne Pressley and Geoff Cope. The winner of the single event was Sam Gray (10) with 38 points ahead of Graham Dowdell (8) with 37 points on a countback. The 2 Ball Multiplier went to Kevin Tooke (27) and Todd Cleary (17) with 74points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Mani Hitchenson at 250 cms, on the Parke street Group sponsored 5th hole to Steve Purdon at 861 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Sam Gray at 101 cms, on the Tonkin family sponsored 13th hole to Dave Birrell at 448 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Mani Hitchenson at 450 cms and on the unsponsored 17th hole to Steve Caswell at 351 cms. Balls went to 37 points and remember next Saturday is the Annual Medley Jack Burrows Day sponsored by the Holmes Family.
