Blackheath Ladies… Thursday 22nd August was a Single Stableford sponsored by Karen Tolhurst. The winner was Carrie Soady (25) with 38 points ahead of Roula Gorey (35) with 33 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole went to Roz Allen, on the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole to Sarah Gardner and on the 17th hole to Nola Lavers. Balls went to 27 points. Next Thursday on the Mountains TOP course the Ladies play a Single Stableford and Blackheath Golf and Community Club welcome all visitors with a GA handicap.

Saturday 24thAugust… was a Single Stableford sponsored by Marilyn Rowe. The winner on an extremely gusty day was Roz Starkey (43) with 29 points on a countback from Di Pease (23) also on 29 points. Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 2nd hole went to Di Pease who also picked up the 13th hole and Sarah Gardner won the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole. Balls went to 29 points on a countback.Next Saturday at beautiful Blackheath the Ladies play a Single Stableford.

Blackheath Men…Wednesday 21st August was the usual Medley Single Stableford and 2 Ball at the top of the hill. The winner of the Single event was Josh Thomas (+2) with 36 points while the 2 Ball went to the gentlemanly pairing of Phil Colton (20) and Darrell Gawthorpe (16) with 41 points.Nearest the pin on the Mount Wilson Silva Plana Strikers sponsored 5th hole went to Phil Colton at 122 cms and on the Steve Tolhurst sponsored 17th hole to new member Jack Kenworthy at 1020 cms. Balls went to 33 points and don’t forget all visitors with a GA Handicap are welcome to play in the Midweek Medley by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.

Saturday 24th August…was a Bisque Par generously sponsored by Graham Jones. The winner was Tom Curtis (17) with +7 ahead of Andy Lavers (28) with +3. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to  Caroline Riley at 122 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Clayton Rogers at 24 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Steve Tolhurst at 240 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Graham Dowdell at 289 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole again to Graham Dowdell at 220 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Darrell Gawthorpe at 378 cms. Balls went to +1 on a countback. Next Saturday the men play a Medley 4 BBB and Single Stableford sponsored by Mick Hillier, Greg McDonald and John Wilson. Remember again that all visitors with a GA Handicap are welcome At Blackheath Golf and Community Club.

Sunday 18th August …was the Team Ambrose played on the 3rd Sunday of each month for the Shipley Shield. The winners this week were the “Hackers and Packers” otherwise known as the Oldfield family returning an impressive 52.8 result with second place going to the “Kortum Warriors” with 60.8 and third place went to the “Birdie Boyz” with 62. Currently the Oldfields lead the field with 16 points. There is still time to get into the action, just call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2. There is also an event every other Sunday for the TV Challenge. A single Stableford with the Challenge currently being led by Tom Curtis with 42 points. All visitors are always welcome at Blackheath Golf and Community Club where you can golf till you drop.

Friday 23rd August… was the Friday evening 6 hole Challenge sponsored by the Proshop. The winner this week was Liz Campbell with 15 points. Come and join us each Friday Afternoon by calling Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2.
