Blackheath Golf Results - Sun 11th Aug to Sat 17th Aug
Blackheath Ladies… Thursday 15th August was a Single Stableford sponsored by Kerry Wynne.The winner was Rebecca Brown (18) with 33 points ahead of Trish Honeysett (29) with 28 points. Nearest the pin on the 2nd hole and the Paul Loneragan sponsored 5th hole both went to Rebecca Brown also picking up the Propin while the Tolhurst Family sponsored 13th hole went to Carrie Soady.Balls went to 26 points. Next Thursday on the Mountains TOP course is a Single Stableford sponsored by Karen Tolhurst. Remember visitors with a GA handicap are always welcome at Blackheath.
Saturday 17th August…was a Single Stableford sponsored by Ros Starkey. The winner was Nola Lavers (28) with 28 points ahead of Rhonda Lonergan (22) with 27 points.Nearest the pin on the 7th hole went to Nola Lavers, on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 13th hole to Rhonda Lonergan and on the New Age Kitchen sponsored 17th hole to Chris Rhind. Balls went to 27 points. Next Saturday on the Mountain’s TOP course the Ladies play a Single Stableford and visitors are always welcome to participate in one of our many weekly golf events.
Blackheath Men…Saturday 17th August was a Single Stableford and 2 Ball Better Ball. The winner of the Single Stableford was Steve Tolhurst (10) with 35 points on a countback ahead of visitor Carla Gilderdale (44) also on 35 points. The 2 Ball went to that Dynamic Duo of Mighty Mick Hillier (12) and Graham Dowdell (8) with 45 points. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to Geoffrey Hull at 429 cms, on the Parke Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Mark Allen at 1 metre, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to John Hayward at 400 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Graham Dowdell at 379 cms, on the unsponsored 14th hole to Stuart Brown at 128 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to John Hayward at 620 cms. Balls went to 34 points.
Sunday 11th August…The TV Challenge marches on with our leader now being young Tom Curtis (18) with 42 points including an Eagle on the 4th hole…well done Tom. The runner up was a golfer who often has his name up in lights in recent times..Jim O’Keefe (8) with 39 points. The Friday afternoon Proshop 6 Hole Challenge goes from strength to strength and this weeks winner was Phil Colton with 16 points ahead of Tom Hitchenson with 15 points on a countback from Geoff cope also on 15 points.
