Blackheath Golf Results - Mon 21st Apr to Sat 26th Apr

Blackheath Men…Easter Monday was time for the Annual Huie Cup sponsored by Ian Foulsham and Rodney Tubb as is an event that was initially inaugurated in the 1920s and continues to this day. It is played as a Mixed Canadian Foursomes Vs Par event and this years winner was Al Campbell and Bec Brown (12)  finishing with +1 ahead of Ian Tonkin and Kerry Wynne (21) finishing at -1 on a countback. Balls went to -2.

Anzac Day…was a 4 person Medley Ambrose. The excellently supported event was won by Shane Murphy, Todd Cleary, Steve Marsh and Kenta Marsh finishing with 50.25 nett. The Medley winners were Ascha Phillips, Brad Evans,Tim Lewis and Liam Phillips with 53.62 nett. The Junior award went to Henry Isbister. Nearest the Pin on the 5th hole went to Corey Oldfield at 265 cms and on the 17th hole to Tom Daniels at 69 cms.

Saturday 26th April…was a Single Stableford and 2 Ball. The winner of the Single event was Jim O’Keeffe(7) with 38 points ahead of Michael Mole (13) with 37 points on a countback. The 2 Ball went to Rodney Tubbs (15) and Ernest Pope (18) with 44 points on a countback. Nearest the pin on the BJR Climbing Equipment sponsored 2nd hole went to James Dakin at 7 cms…great shot James, on the Park Street Group sponsored 5th hole to Bill Oldfield at 48 cms, on the James Dakin sponsored 7th hole to Ross Delaney at 104 cms, on the Tonkin Family sponsored 13th hole to Michael Mole at 335 cms, on the Brett Bond sponsored 14th hole to Jason Duke at 500 cms and on the Chris and Keith Rhind sponsored 17th hole to Henry Herron at 167 cms and balls went to 37 points on a countback. Next Saturday the men play a Single Stableford and 2 BBB sponsored by Mick Strong come along and support the event by booking online or simply call 47878406 and select option 2.

Wednesday 23rd April… was unfortunately a washout but the popular Midweek event will continue on Wednesday 30th and you can book online or call Darrin or Jack on 47878406 and select option 2. Remember visitors are always welcome at the Mountains TOP course.

Blackheath Ladies…Thursday 24th April was the 2025 Blackheath Open day sponsored by Michael Mole’s Trent Driving School. The winners were Springwood visitors Robyn McElroy (26) and Kay Phillips (28) with a 2 BBB score of 47 points ahead of Blackheathers..Carla Gilderdale (37) and Rebecca Brown (23) with 44 points. The Division 1 Single Stableford winner was Blackheather.. Sarah Gardner (23) with 37 points on a countback from NSW visitor Nancy Incoll (17) also on 37 points. Division 2 went to Leonay visitor Janina Linfoot (25) with 37 points ahead of Lithgow visitor Carol Burton (31) with 36 points and Division 3 went to Lynwood visitor Chris Amery (33) with 35 points ahead of Blackheather..Yvonne Murray (36) with 33 points. Nearest the pin on the 2nd hole went to Lynwood visitor Rosslyn Jole, on the 7th hole to Blackheather..Mandy McAlister, on the 14th hole to Blackheather..Rebecca Brown and on the 17th hole to Wentworth Falls visitor, Jenny Meany. The Straightest Drive on the 9th hole went to Blackheather..Chris Rhind and on the 15th hole to Manly visitor ,Barbara Maggs.The Blackheath Ladies  welcomed visitors from..Bathurst, Camden Dudley, Concord, Leonay, Lithgow, Lynwood, Manly, Monash, NSW, Royal Sydney, Springwood and Wentworth Falls and we thank all our visitors for the  generous support.Next Thursday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Roula Gorey.

Saturday 26th April…was a Stroke event for a Club Medal. The winner was Carrie Soady (27) with 76 nett ahead of Yvonne Murray (37) with 77 nett.The Scratch winner was Sarah Gardner with 100 off the stick and the Putting went to Di Pease with 30 putts.Nearest the pin on the Paul Loneragan sponsored 7th hole went to Di Pease, on the 14th hole to Carrie Soady and on the 17th hole again to Di Pease. Balls went to 78 nett. Next Saturday the Ladies play a Single Stableford sponsored by Rebecca Brown and remember visitors are always welcome at the Mountains TOP course.
