Wednesday 17th October was a small event because our Tuesday Club was touring the near west, playing at Duntryleague in Orange as well as at Bathurst. Back home, in misty rain, our usual 2BBB and Single Stableford proceeded with Roger Pierce (18) winning with 36 points. Runner-up was Joe Landsberg OCB. Peter Messer won the 2nd NTP (450cm) and Michael Shelton the 17th (235cm). The touring group had superb weather. Peter Kailofer won the best nett over two days, while the Aussie team defeated those not born here. Darrin, our Pro, joined us for the Bathurst leg.
Saturday 20th October was a Single Stableford and 2BBB sponsored by Garry Way and Rob Dempsey. Rain threatened, thinning the field, but it didn’t rain at all! We hosted visitors from Springwood and a Sydney Social Club (LeighMarden). The winner of the Single Stableford was Paul Cinat (20) 40 with Greg Nankervis (21) 38 second. The 2BBB winners were Paul Cinat and Jonathan Van Veen (5) with 46 points OCB over Greg McDonald (22) and John Wilson (24). Balls went to 34 OCB. The Nearest-the-Pin winner on the second (sponsor: Blue Mountains Plantation Shutters & Cabinet Making) was Peter Messer (190cm). John Martorana won the 5th (LEADING EDGE COMPUTERS Katoomba) at 323cm. Graham Jones won the SiLLYMiLLY Kid’s Clothing 7th hole (390cm).
