Show Someone You Care – Donate to The Mayor’s Christmas Appeal
Mayor Stephen Lesslie is calling on the community to donate a small gift to the Annual Mayor’s Christmas Appeal for our elderly residents living in local nursing homes.
“The Mayor’s Christmas Appeal commenced in 2010 and has become a wonderful tradition stated Mayor Lesslie. It was developed to show appreciation to the residents of our aged care facilities for their contributions to the community. These people have given so much to their friends, families and the broader communities throughout their lives”
“Hand crafted gifts, gifts that provide visual and sensory stimulus suitable for Alzheimer’s patients, non-allergenic personal care products or soft lollies and chocolates are welcomed by the residents and can be dropped off at Council’s Administration Building or any one of Council’s libraries by Thursday 30 November.” Continued the Mayor.
For further information on the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal, phone Council’s Administration Office on 6354 9999 or go to Council’s website.
