Bathurst Regional Controller Craig Ronan of the SES has obtained grant funding of $30,000 for the construction of a new shed to house SES vehicles in Lithgow.

Lithgow Mayor Stephen Lesslie and General Manager Graeme Faulkner met with SES representatives Craig Ronan and Kerrie Pearce in Bathurst last Thursday to thank them for their efforts in securing the funding for the Lithgow Area.

“The importance of the SES to all our communities including Lithgow cannot be overstated and we are very grateful to Craig and Kerrie for their efforts in achieving funding for SES infrastructure in Lithgow” said Cr Lesslie.

“I know that both the RFS and SES are always punching above their weight in the services they provide to our community and this funding effort by Craig can only help enhance that service continuity.  I am particularly pleased that the successful quotation for shed construction called for by the SES has resulted in a local supplier being successful” said the Cr Lesslie.
