With springSchool Holidays kicking off next week, there isn’t a better season to get the kids involved in nature-based activities, ranging from dinosaur plant adventures to frog friendzy fun at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah.

Frog Friendzy

What do frogs and gardens have in common? Habitat! The Blue Mountains are home to a vast array of native wildlife, which include our fellow frog friends. Kids will roll their sleeves up and get creative as they plant, build, and design their own frog haven so they can welcome their own amphibian friends into their homes.

Wild Wollemi Garden

Discover the wonders of the Wollemi Pine, Australia’s iconic ‘dinosaur tree’ discovered in the Blue Mountains. Join a botanical expert to learn what makes this curious conifer the botanical discovery of the century, how scientists brought it back from the brink of extinction, and how to nurture one yourself. Finish the day off with a crafty design and paint a pot plant to take home with your very own Wollemi Pine!

Guided Spring Walking Tour

Ditch the screen and dust off the walking boots on one of our guided walking tours through the Garden. Soak in the sunny Spring vibes as the largest cupped daffodils take shape in the Brunet Meadow alongside camellias, jonquils, and many other fragrant cool climate gems currently in bloom. Fun for the whole family - you’ll even learn about the Garden’s rich and unique history and meet some of the feathered friends that call it home.
