Retail Business Accelerator Program on Offer
Late February will see the launch of a Lithgow Retail Business Accelerator Program, which will be run over four months.
There will be four workshop sessions from February to May;
Session 1: Program Overview, A Framework and potential objectives and results to become an Excellent Company, A higher purpose and what is your why? (February 2019).
Session 2: Powerful Social Media Strategies for Small Business (March 2019).
Sessions 3: Customer Service Excellence: The six essential elements of customer service success and retaining customers (April 2019).
Session 4: Creative thinking: Creating a mindset of continuous improvement with a focus on increasing revenues and building a loyal client base via new products, selling and marketing models, utilising technology, disruptive concepts, and Blue Ocean opportunities (May 2019).
On top of the four workshops there will be available one on one coaching to set objectives and forecast results from ideas that come out of the 4 sessions (1 session for each participating business), and Group coaching sessions to create steps and processes to implement strategies, monitor progress of businesses, or readjust agreed objectives if required.
“Retail is a sector facing many issues, which means more than ever our local retailers need to keep pace with the constant changes affecting the industry,” said Ray Thompson, Lithgow City Council Mayor.
“We all know changing spending patterns, customer service expectations from the shoppers of today, increased competition in the online/digital space and economic uncertainty are some of the key issues affecting business. I strongly encourage local businesses to take part in the program,” concluded the Mayor.
