Now is the time to register your clean-up site for “Clean Up Australia Day” on Sunday 4th March 2018. In its 27th year Clean Up Australia Day volunteers have donated more than 32 million hours removing more than 344 thousand tonnes of rubbish from their streets, beaches, parks, bushland and local waterways.

“Clean Up Australia Day is a great opportunity for local residents and community groups to enhance their local environment, so please, devote some time back to your local environment,”  says Lithgow City Mayor, Stephen Lesslie.

The Mayor added, “Find a site that you think needs a clean up and ask your family and friends if they can help you on Sunday 4th of March 2018.  Then register your site on Clean Up Australia’s website so others can see it and come to help.”

Register with Clean Up Australia online via the Clean Up Australia Day website or by calling 1800 282 329. Please register your clean-up site for garbage collection with Council by Midday this Friday 2nd of March to ensure your rubbish is collected on Monday 5th of March by contacting Council’s Customer Service Office on (02) 6354 9999.
