Queen Elizabeth II Condolence Book
By Lithgow City Council
Archived 14 Nov 2022 - Posted: 15 Sep 2022
Lithgow City Council acknowledges that the communitymay wish to make tributes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and share their memories of her monumental reign.
Lithgow has a long association with the Queen and Prince Phillip following their first visit to Lithgow in 1954. Many locals still have fond memories of that visit.
The condolence book will be available at Lithgow Library during opening hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm, up until close of business Thursday 21 September 2022.
The public book of condolence will be sent to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and then on to Buckingham Palace. The messages will also be archived by the Commonwealth Government and may be displayed at its national institutions, such as the National Library of Australia, to form a lasting record of this moment in history.
