Public Forum On Western Sydney Airport Flight Paths To Be Held In Springwood

Recognising the flight paths are a complex matter of concern to many residents and local businesses, Council resolved to hold a public forum at the Ordinary Council Meeting 25 July 2023.
Mayor, Councillor Mark Greenhill, said; “Council has been a long-term advocate for Blue Mountains residents and the environment regarding the Western Sydney Airport.
“Many people have questions regarding the airport’s recently released flight paths, including the impact on our City within a World Heritage Area and our community’s quality of life.
“We invite everyone with concerns to come along to meet the experts, ask their questions, and have their say.”
The forum will have a panel of experts and representatives of local and commonwealth government who will be available to take questions from, and share information with, attendees.
Panellists include:
- Councillor Mark Greenhill OAM, Mayor, City of the Blue Mountains
- The Hon. Susan Templeman MP, Member for Macquarie
- Peter Dollin of Residents Against Western Sydney Airport
- Alex Morabito of Marshall Day Acoustics
- A representative of the Department of Infrastructure.
“Everyone seeking to know more about the flight paths and airport is welcome. This is a public forum where all questions and viewpoints can be respectfully raised and discussed,” Mayor Mark Greenhill said.
Capacity for this event is limited and is expected to fill quickly. Please register your attendance early to avoid disappointment.
Placards, signs, or banners are not permitted within the Blue Mountains Theatre.
